“We are dedicated to enabling Sri Lankan youth to thrive in Aotearoa New Zealand, by balancing their dual identity”

Our Vision

We believe in creating a supportive and inclusive community and to bring awareness to the invisible barriers faced by Sri Lankan youth, in order to provide the tools necessary to thrive

Our Purpose

All diaspora communities face an identity crisis when growing up in a new country. Statistics show that ethnic minority groups have less opportunities to succeed.

This issue grows deeper if youth don’t have a strong sense of who they are as they navigate multiple worlds, cultures and contexts.

Positive change starts from within. Duality was formed to break the cycle for first generation Asian communities and provide youth with the tools and services they need to succeed.

Mentorship Programme

We believe intergenerational knowledge is key to supporting youth to grow and thrive and relate to someone who has gone through the same experience
